GRAFTON – The Small Stones Festival of the Arts will officially open its call for works on Sunday August 15th.
There is a maximum of three entries per artist. The festival welcomes photography and all forms of two-dimensional artwork.
Any artwork can be submitted online at https://smallstones2021.artcall.org/.
Small Stones will accept submissions until midnight on the day a 500th entry is received. A panel of six jurors will select 144 works of art that will appear both in the exhibition itself as well as in the printed catalog of the exhibition.
There will be three cash winners in the Fine Art and Photography categories, with first place winning $ 500, second $ 250 and $ 100 going to third. In addition, jurors will also present Juror’s Choice and Popular Choice awards.
The 2021 festival will return to the Great Hall of Grafton Townhouse on Friday, October 15. The free exhibition will run until Sunday, October 24.
In addition, this year there will be a literary track in the Grafton Public Library organized by the Shakespeare Club of Grafton. This will include live performances, author presentations and a discussion by Assumption University political science professor Daniel Mahoney on the totalitarian effect of corruption and manipulation of language using from the novels of George Orwell.
