Prize awarded at the ‘Art in the Wilds’ fair | News, Sports, Jobs


After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Artist Awards were presented at the 15th Annual Art in the Wilds Fine Arts Show in Kane, Pennsylvania. , ceramic, fiber and sculpture.

Jurors visited each booth and examined the work of each artist as well as the booth presentations.

Four prizes were awarded to the artists based on the results of the jury. Best of Show 2D (two-dimensional work) went to Kim Keller (Mixed Media) from Franklin, Pennsylvania. Best of Show 3D (three-dimensional work) went to Peggy Houser (Pearl Jewelry) from Kane, Pennsylvania. They each received ribbons and $ 200. Best of Show winners are also automatically selected for next year’s show. Two awards of excellence were also awarded. These can be for 2D or 3D work.

The winners of these two awards were Kalpana Lehman (Glass Jewelry) of Carlisle, PA; and Lawrence Downey (photography) of Waterford, Pennsylvania. They each received ribbons and $ 100.
