CLEAR WATER (WQOW) – It’s the spookiest season of the year and a local art gallery is getting in the mood by hosting their very first haunted gallery.
The free spooky installation began Tuesday and will run through the 26th, and will be open to viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the week.
Visitors are encouraged to leave children at home as some works of art feature gore, violence, and nudity, more suitable for those 18 and older.
You can find the gallery by going to the Banbury 13 building, then going up one floor and looking for red lights and fog.
Gallery owner Mindy Huntress said Halloween haunts are not only fun, but also support local artists.
âWe’re just part of the arts community and we love supporting local artists, and I have these two artist friends who looked perfect for Halloween,â Huntress said. “Halloween is a fun time of the year and I think we should all celebrate it.”
The gallery will offer sweets and crackers to attendees, and local featured artists Mark Lone and Andrew Johnson will be on site Tuesday, October 26 from 4 to 9 p.m. Huntress added that visitors should be prepared to be afraid and costumes are encouraged for all.
