Live music, performances and more to close out the fall season

Art lovers have plenty of opportunities in November to embrace original art, live music, and gift hunting, as well as attend dramatic performances, as well as author and historical talks. .

November Calendar

November – “Coping Mechanisms: Art at the Intersection of Race and Mental Health.” Twelve artists approach the theme with photography, video, painting and sculpture at the Miller Gallery, 33 Collegeview Road.

November – Art in Java. The whimsical art of local artist and musician Sara Castro is on display at Central Java, 20 S. State St.

November – The Art of the City. Original “Westerville” paintings, photographs and note cards at the David Myers Art Studio & Gallery.

Saturdays – Live music at Central Java Café, 7-9:30 p.m. Artists include Steven Stanley, String Theory and Cap City Swing. Free at 20 S. State St.

November, 1st – Craft with the Council, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Create Ukrainian-inspired ornaments at Good Vibes Winery, 2 S. State St. Register for artscouncilofwesterville.com.

November 5 – Holiday Market, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Crafts for kids at the Arts Council tent: $5 admission from 12 years old, behind City Hall.

November 5 – Closing reception of the daytime competition, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tribute to 36 artists, 9 E. College Ave., third floor. Register for the decoration workshops on November 19 on daylightartistcollective.com/events.

Until November 6 – Curtain players present “Eleemosynary”. This drama seeks to address years of family dysfunction. For tickets, go to curtainplayers.org.

November 13 – Bob Miner: The Man and His Work, 2 p.m. Discover Miner’s life, legacy, and sketches of historic buildings and scenes from Westerville. Register with the Westerville Historical Society by emailing [email protected] Church of the Messiah.

November 26 – Daylight Holiday Shopping, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Original artwork and handmade items include jewelry, scarves, ornaments, note cards and art reproductions. Located at the Daylight Artist Collective, 9 E. College Ave., third floor.

27 Nov-Dec 18 – Good Medicine Productions presents “Uptown Scrooge”. Tickets for this immersive walking tour of “A Christmas Carol” are available at goodmedicineproductions.org/uptown-scrooge.
