The exhibition, according to a press release from 20 North Gallery, features several sculptures by Thompson using brass, wood, acrylic sheets and aluminum. The exhibit includes outdoor sculptures and 3D geometric works suitable for pedestal display, according to the statement.

This sculpture, created by Lenawee County artist and business owner Kenneth Thompson, is titled

“Kenneth M. Thompson’s sculptures have a commanding presence,” the statement read. “From a scale of 15 inches to over 12 feet in height, the artist’s craftsmanship and skillful use of space envelop viewers, tightly engaging them. Like the columns that hold up a building, Thompson’s towering works of art are strong and solid, but their intricate, geometric construction creates the illusion of movement. This dichotomy between firmness and rhythm is transformed on a more intimate scale in his small works which use similar forms and materials.

An online exhibition catalog of Thompson’s “Undeniable Presence” is available on the gallery’s website, along with additional information about the artist.
