Gutman Gallery in Ann Arbor announces new exhibit ahead of Pride Month


ANN ARBOR – The Gutman Gallery will host a brand new exhibition starting May 13 to celebrate Pride Month.

The all-media exhibition, entitled “fluid. male. women. and the space between. will last until June 18.

According to the gallery run by The Guild of Artists & Artisans, the exhibition will explore “what is inherently masculine or feminine and whether that is even relevant or not”.

The exhibition will begin with a community reception on Friday, May 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. Artists will be at the event for a meet and greet and Koro Kouyate will perform live music.

The show was judged by The Guild staff members and Michigan-based artist Armando Pedroso. It features 26 works by 16 artists and includes mixed media monotypes, mixed media sculptures, photographs and more.

At this time, face masks are recommended at Gutman Gallery but are not required.
