A community art exhibition by invitation to the DuPage Art League

DuPage County has so much to offer and can be reflected through stories told in the visual arts.

The DuPage Art League, 218 W. Front St. in downtown Wheaton, invites the local Chicago-area art community to participate in the October “Paint DuPage” exhibit.

Works of art related to DuPage County such as paintings, photographs, drawings, artistic fibers, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, etc. will be accepted.

Members of the DuPage Art League can submit two artworks for free, and non-members pay $ 10 per piece to participate.

Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded: a Best of Show ($ 50); a thematic prize ($ 25); three special merit awards ($ 20 each); and 12 merit awards.

Entry dates are September 22-23 with pickup dates October 20-21 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Each artist can exhibit two works. The first work must not exceed 100 inches, one length plus one width, the interior dimensions of the frame (eg 40×60 = 100 would be admissible. 45×60 = 105 would not).

When the art sells, 100% will go to the artist, then the artist will donate 25% to the DuPage Art League.

The second piece must be priced at $ 200 or less and not exceed 25 inches inside the frame dimensions (11 x 14).

The DuPage Art League is a non-profit art school and gallery. The Arts League is offering a full program of art classes for children and adults starting September 13. It also offers workshops and free Zoom demonstrations. More information is available at www.dupageartleague.org.

The aim of the DuPage Art League is to promote and encourage the visual arts through classes, workshops, gallery exhibitions, free public fine art programs, exhibitions by our artists in many commercial buildings and public, and financial endowments to public arts education institutions and scholarships to students. All donations and gifts to the League are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible.
